Eastwood FC sign winger Keaton August

Eastwood FC are pleased to confirm the permanent signing of winger Keaton August from Belper Town.

Born in Cape Town and raised in the English non-league game, the 26-year-old has spent his career on the flanks and through the middle, starting out at Windsor before spells with Chalfont St Peter, Walton Casuals and Aylesbury United, where he scored on his third appearance within days of arriving. He went on to play for Ascot United, picking up a Berkshire Football Awards nomination along the way, and has also played abroad with Brisbane Strikers in Australia.

He is a versatile attacker who can play anywhere across the front and in midfield — exactly the kind of player this club wants to put in front of a growing crowd at Coronation Park.

Joint manager Billy Bennett said: “Keaton is extremely versatile, he can play around the front three and in midfield. He brings another dimension to our play with his pace.”

Keaton said: “It’s an exciting project to be a part of — players at this level dream of it.”
