Eastwood FC sign striker Jack Duffy

Eastwood FC are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of striker Jack Duffy from Peterborough Sports.

Duffy is a goalscorer who has made his name in this corner of the game. He was seventeen when he was part of the Basford United squad that won promotion, and went on to score freely for Long Eaton and then Quorn, where he hit 14 goals in 16 games. That form took him to Stamford AFC in 2020, where he became the club’s top scorer and turned down approaches from Ilkeston, Kettering and Basford to stay and finish the job. Alongside it all he was the top scorer for the England Universities side while at Nottingham Trent.

A powerful centre forward who can lead the line or run in behind, he arrives at a club going the same way he is.

Joint manager Billy Bennett said: “Delighted to be linking back up with Jack. Even though we’re in a good position, it’s always important to continue to strengthen the squad. These latest signings have been long-term targets for us.”

Jack said: “Excited to be at the club, with big ambitions for the future.”

Everyone at Eastwood FC welcomes Jack to Coronation Park.
